Please read these terms carefully before using our website, buying a vehicle from us, or renting one of our vehicles. This page is a template starting point and should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before being relied on as a binding agreement.

1. Introduction & acceptance

These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“you”, the “Customer”) and {{LEGAL_NAME}} (trading as “GP Automobiles”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a company registered in the Republic of Ghana with its registered office at {{REGISTERED_ADDRESS}}. By accessing gpautomobiles.com, submitting an enquiry, purchasing a vehicle from us, or hiring one of our vehicles, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not accept these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. Definitions

  • “Customer” — any person or entity that buys, rents, or enquires about a Vehicle from us.
  • “Vehicle” — any motor vehicle offered for sale or hire by GP Automobiles.
  • “Sale” — the outright purchase of a Vehicle by the Customer.
  • “Booking” — a confirmed reservation to hire a Vehicle for a defined period.
  • “Rental Period” — the period between Vehicle pickup and Vehicle return as stated on the Booking confirmation.

3. Vehicle sales

All advertised prices for Vehicles are quoted in Ghanaian Cedi (GHS) and, unless stated otherwise, are inclusive of VAT and applicable levies. Prices exclude registration, road-worthiness, insurance and delivery charges unless those items are itemised on your quotation or invoice.

You may inspect any Vehicle, request its service history, and book a test drive prior to purchase. We strongly encourage you to do so. Once the Sale is completed and the Vehicle is delivered, you are deemed to have accepted the Vehicle in its then-current condition, subject to any warranty that applies.

Title and risk in the Vehicle pass to the Customer on the later of (a) receipt of cleared funds in full, or (b) delivery of the Vehicle. We will assist with the transfer of registration with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), but registration fees are payable by the Customer unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Where a manufacturer warranty applies to a new Vehicle, it is provided directly by the manufacturer on the terms published by the manufacturer. For used Vehicles, any warranty offered will be stated in writing on the invoice; otherwise the Vehicle is sold as-is, save for any non-excludable rights you have under Ghanaian consumer-protection law.

Any defect that you believe existed at the point of sale must be reported to us in writing within seven (7) days of delivery, with reasonable supporting detail, so we can investigate.

4. Vehicle rentals

A Booking is confirmed only when we issue a written confirmation (typically by email). Until then, your request is provisional and subject to Vehicle availability.

To rent a Vehicle you must (a) be at least twenty-one (21) years of age, (b) hold a full driver’s licence that has been valid for at least one (1) year, (c) present a government-issued ID or passport on pickup, and (d) pay a refundable security deposit in the amount specified on your Booking. International customers should additionally hold an International Driving Permit where required by Ghanaian law.

The Vehicle is delivered with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank. Refuelling charges, plus a service fee, apply if it is returned otherwise. Unlimited mileage applies within the Republic of Ghana unless your Booking states a daily mileage cap; cross-border travel requires our written consent.

You must not use the Vehicle for any unlawful purpose, off-road driving (other than on properly maintained tracks), motor sport, driving tuition, sub-letting or ride-hailing, towing, or the transport of hazardous, illegal or perishable goods. Smoking inside the Vehicle is not permitted. Only named drivers on the Booking may operate the Vehicle.

The Vehicle is supplied with third-party insurance and basic collision protection. You remain liable for any damage caused by negligent, prohibited or unauthorised use, and for the insurance excess shown on your Booking. Traffic fines, road-tolls, parking penalties and similar charges incurred during the Rental Period are your responsibility and will be billed to your card on file.

A grace period of thirty (30) minutes applies on return. Beyond that, a late-return charge equal to one (1) additional rental day, plus a handling fee, will be applied for each twenty-four-hour block.

5. Cancellations & refunds

Sales. Once title has passed, there is no general right of return. Your statutory rights under Ghanaian consumer-protection law are not affected.

Rentals. You may cancel a Booking free of charge up to seventy-two (72) hours before the scheduled pickup time. Cancellations within seventy-two (72) hours attract a fee equal to fifty percent (50%) of the Rental Period charge. No-shows and cancellations after the pickup time attract a fee equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Rental Period charge. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within fourteen (14) business days.

6. Use of the website

You agree to provide accurate information when using our website, to keep any account credentials confidential, and not to scrape, probe, overload, reverse-engineer, or otherwise interfere with the site, its security, or other users.

7. Intellectual property

The website, including its text, logos, photography, video, layout, and source code, is owned by or licensed to {{LEGAL_NAME}} and is protected by copyright, trade-mark, and other intellectual-property laws. You may view and download content for personal, non-commercial use only.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The website is provided on an “as is” basis. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that information shown (including Vehicle availability and pricing) will always be accurate. We reserve the right to correct any obvious errors before a Booking or Sale is finalised.

To the maximum extent permitted by Ghanaian law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms, a Booking, or a Sale is limited to the total amount paid by the Customer to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless {{LEGAL_NAME}}, its officers, employees and agents against any losses, claims, fines or costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your unlawful use of a Vehicle, or your infringement of any third-party right.

10. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. The parties will first attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith discussion. Failing that, disputes will be referred to mediation in Accra before either party initiates court proceedings. The courts of Accra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that proceeds to litigation.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on the website where reasonable. Continued use of the website or our services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
